Thursday, April 20th - General Meeting – 7pm. Discuss and share information on ways to keep all 18 hamlets of Islip clean, green and beautiful. There will be a recycling overview followed by some light refreshments to celebrate Earth Day! Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Lane, East Islip.
Saturday, April 22nd - Annual Earth Day Every Day Cleanup at Ross Park, Brentwood – 9:30am to 1pm. Meet at the park located at Brentwood Rd. and First Ave., just south of Suffolk Ave. Bring heavy duty gloves and a rake, if you can.
Saturday, April 22nd - Suffolk County’s Seatuck Environmental Center Eco-Carnival – 11am to 4pm.
A day of educational family fun featuring nature programs, music, games and food to celebrate Earth Day 2017. Be sure to visit the Keep Islip Clean tent! Volunteers needed to help at the KIC tent. There are a limited number of spots available, so please contact KIC in advance if you wish to volunteer at the tent!
Saturday, April 22nd - Recycled Art Contest. Submissions must be created from recyclable materials. Winners will be awarded in three categories: Children, Young Adult and Adult. Drop off submissions at the KIC tent on the day of the Eco-Carnival (location noted above) between 11:30am and 3:00pm. Winners will be announced at the event.
Thursday, April 27th - Brookwood Hall Gardening Day – 8am to 5pm. Join the Brookwood Hall Restoration Committee to clean up and beautify historic Brookwood Hall Park. Meet at Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Lane, East Islip. Rain date to be announced. Bring garden gloves and rakes if you have them.
Saturday, April 29th - Islip North Neighborhood Watch Cleanup of Spur Drive South – 9am to 11am.
Meet at the small park on Commack Road and Spur Drive South, Islip. Police will be on the road to ensure safety. There is an increased need for adult volunteers to help with some of the heavier debris found on the roadside ie: tires.
Saturday, April 29th - 28th Annual Brook Street Wetlands Cleanup – 9:30am to 11am. Meet at the corner of Brook St. and Milton St. (off of Commack Rd.), Islip. The road will be closed to traffic to ensure safety.
Saturday, May 13 - Holbrook Community Cleanup – 8:45am to noon.

Project Bloom -- Volunteer gardeners raise flowers for KIC Volunteers to plant throughout the Town of Islip. If you're interested in this community beautification project, stop by the greenhouse any Tuesday or Thursday, 9:30am to 11am. The greenhouse is located on the grounds of Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Lane, East Islip.
