Town of Islip & Keep Islip Clean Halloween Costume Contest
Participants are invited to submit photos of themselves dressed in their best "repurposed" Halloween costumes. Costumes will be judged in two age groups: Kindergarten through 6th grade, and Middle School through High School. Costumes must be constructed from recycled/repurposed materials. Please include grade and contact information with your photo submissions. Submit photos to keepislipclean@optonline.net  no later than November 3rd. Saturday, November 20th. Brook Street Wetlands Cleanup, an International Coastal Cleanup event. Meet at the corner of Brook and Milton Streets, Islip. Rain cancels event. 9:30am - 11am.

September through November. International Coastal Cleanup. Join this worldwide initiative from the Ocean Conservancy in Washington. Choose a beach, stream, wetlands or other waterway and collect data on litter found. Contact KIC at keepislipclean@optonline.net or 631-224-2627 for details.
